F. Morgan Cox 88, of Forest City, PA, passed away on December 7, 2023 in Cleveland, OH. He was born on July 31, 1935, to the late Eva Wojcik Cox and William S. Cox. Also, preceded in death by brothers Bill Cox and Adrian Cox and grandson, Brett Hackman.
F. Morgan Cox was a dedicated nuclear engineer, having worked for Westinghouse, Harshaw Chemical Company, Victoreen Instrument Company, Eberline Instruments, and Homeland Security throughout his career.
He attended Forest City Regional School for his high school education and went on to earn his undergraduate degree from the University of Scranton. F. Morgan Cox further pursued his education and obtained a graduate degree from the University of Rochester.
F. Morgan Cox will be deeply missed by his surviving family members, including his daughters, Beth Hackman and Meg Barrett, along with his son-in-law, Bryan Barrett. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren: Katie Barrett, Celia Barrett Black, David Black, Riley Barrett, Taylor Hackman. Additionally, he leaves behind his great-grandchildren, Asher Hackman and baby Black on the way. F. Morgan Cox is also survived by his sister, Evann Racht, and brother-in-law, Eddie Racht, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He cherished all that are too numerous to name.
F. Morgan Cox worshipped at Gesu Church where he found solace and strength.
A celebration of life will be held 10:00 am Saturday June 29, 2024 at Gesu Church, 2470 Miramar Blvd., University Hts. 44118. DiCicco & Sons Funeral Home in Mayfield Hts, OH is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.
