Carol Keehn, a devoted volunteer, animal lover, and cherished family member, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2024. Born in Toledo, OH to Clyde and Ruth Keehn on January 24, 1942, Carol’s family soon moved to Massillon, OH, where she brought joy and love to all who knew her. A 1960 graduate of Massillon Washington High School, she attended Kent State University where she embarked on her path with a strong educational foundation. Carol retired from the Lake Erie Girl Scout Council, where she left a lasting impact through her dedication and commitment.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and her dear brother, Rodney Keehn. Throughout her life, Carol shared her compassion through her volunteer work with Valley Save-A-Pet and The Purr-fect Place, where she dedicated her time to fostering cats and advocating for their well-being. Carol's memory will forever be cherished by her surviving family members: her niece, Kathleen Perry, and husband Dan Perry; her nephew, John Keehn; her sister-in-law, Margaret Keehn; her cousin, Cathy Truemper, and husband Peter, as well as many other family members and close friends that will miss her dearly.
While we mourn the loss of Carol from our lives, we take solace in knowing that her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory forever be a blessing to us all.
A celebration of Carol's life will be held at DiCicco and Sons Funeral Home 5975 Mayfield Rd, Mayfield Heights, OH on Friday, May 3rd, 2024 from 2:00 - 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Valley Save-a Pet https://valleysaveapet.org in honor of Carol's passion for animal welfare.
Forever in our hearts, Carol will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
