Catherine, Aileen’s mother, was my great-aunt and my grandmother Jean Mahan’s sister. My mother, Bette Mahan Poffenberger, took us on many trips from Fort Wayne, IN to visit them in Cuyahoga Falls when my brother and I were growing up. I always thought of Aileen as a princess who had a beautiful, storybook wedding. Blessings to Aileen’s whole family.


I believe Aileen and my Mother,  Eileen Mahan Gorman, were first cousins.  They shared the same beautiful blue eyes, and my Mother always spoke fondly of Aileen.
