Liam A. Slattery

Liam A. Slattery, 87, of Amityville, NY passed away in his home on August 2, 2019. He was born on May 30, 1932 in Ennis, Co. Clare, Ireland and emigrated to the United States at the age of 22. Liam married Kathleen Smyth in 1962. They raised 5 children primarily in Queens Village, NY, spending 3 years back in Ennis during that time. Liam will be remembered as a loving and dedicated husband, father, Pop Pop, brother, cousin, uncle and friend. He was pre-deceased by his brothers, Michael, Desmond, Sean, and Frank and his sisters, Hannah, Kitty, Betty and Teresa. His sister, Ethna, lives in Ennis. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen and his sons, Liam (Tracey), Brian (Sheila), and his daughters, Dierdre (Bill), Maureen DeGennaro (Nicholas), Kathleen Pattay (John) and his 13 grandchildren, Katelyn, Megan, Tara, Kathleen, Liam, Anthony, Maeve, Ryan, Joseph, Jennifer, Gabriella, Juliana, and Rebecca.
