JOHN ZAHARIS, of Massapequa, New York passed away on March 9, 2012. John was a WWII veteran in the United States Air Force. Devoted father of Elena Jannello and Mark Zaharis. Cherished grandfather of Francesca, Alexandra, Kaila and Mark Jr. Family and friends may visit on Tuesday March 13, 2012 between the hours of 2 to 4:30 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the James Funeral Home 540 Broadway Massapequa, New York. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 20 Field Avenue, Hicksville, New York. Interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
