John A. Cassese, 83, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2025, in Daytona Beach, Florida. Born on August 7, 1941, in New York City, New York, he lived a long and dedicated life marked by hard work and devotion to his family.
John built a remarkable career as a Local 3 electrician, dedicating 65 years to his trade. His commitment to his profession reflected a strong work ethic and steadfast reliability that earned him the respect of colleagues and peers alike.
He was a beloved husband to Kathleen, with whom he shared 61 cherished years. Together they raised three children: Gina (Chuck), Kathleen (Scott), and John Jr. (Michelle). John's legacy continues through his grandchildren—Caitlin, Alyssa (Ryan), Nicole, Matthew (Brianna), Maddison (Adam), Victoria (Junior), and Joseph. Great-grandchildren Piper and Chase.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesole and Louise Cassese.
John’s life was one of quiet strength and enduring love for those closest to him. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
A visitation for John will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00PM to 9:00PM at James Funeral Home, 540 Broadway, Massapequa, NY 11758. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 9:45 AM at Maria Regina Roman Catholic Church, 3945 Jerusalem Ave, Seaford, NY 11783. An interment will occur Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 11:15 AM at St. Charles / Resurrection Cemeteries, 2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
