Born in Brooklyn, NY on June 25, 1928, one of 10 brothers and sisters, he acquired American citizenship at birth, then moving back to Siracusa, Italy with his parents prior to his 4th birthday.
Knowing of his American citizenship, he decided to come back to America at 19 years old to start a new life for himself and layed the groundwork for many of his siblings to follow.
This is where he met his love and future wife, Benedetta, who had also just come to America, whom he would marry in 1951.
Found his first job in 1948 as an apprentice machinist and worked nights driving a truck so that he could start and support a family, his son Franco and daughter Marina.
Purchased his first home in Brooklyn where the family lived until 1962 when they decided to move to Massapequa and go on to start his own business.
First was the Co-Founder of Art Precision Metal, sold his share and then went on to start ABM Precision Metal Works.
Mary(Benedetta) and Angelo had a wonderful life together, always surrounded by family and friends.
Their favorite things to do were having family (all 60 of them) over for get togethers, going dancing, dining, boating and most of all spending time with their grandchildren, Michael and Marisa.
Dad loved making people laugh.
Quite the character he was, he would come up with these comments that we eventually coined as “Nonnoisms”
Dad also had a great love for his country, America.
Everyday, he would turn the radio on at 11:55 am and wait for the playing of the National Anthem, holding his hand over his heart.
After the passing of Benedetta in September of 2006, Dad spent most of his time with family.
Dad passed peacefully in his home on July 13, 2018, at 11:47 pm
surrounded by his immediate family at his side.
He is survived by five siblings, Lucia, Antonia, Maria, Ottavio and Roberto.
His two children Franco and Marina, Daughter-Inlaw Laura
His two grandchildren Michael and Marisa
His four Great-Granchildren, Ava, Ariella, Michael and Augusto.
