Mason, MI (formerly of Grand Haven, MI)
Thomas John “T-Ball” Lock, age 78, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family, April 18, 2012. He was born February 26, 1934 in Grand Haven, MI to Arend and Clara (Sattler) Lock. Mr. Lock spent most of his youth in Grand Haven where he loved the water and beach. His family moved to Okemos, MI during his sophomore year where he graduated from Okemos High School. He then served in the Naval Reserves. He married Phyllis (Hansen) and they were happily married 48 years. He loved outdoors and many camping and hunting trips at the family property in Cadillac, MI; bowling with his friends; the Detroit Tigers and the Lions; and U of M Wolverines. He especially loved his family and enjoyed watching his grandkids’ sporting events. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Molly Rubino. Surviving are his beloved wife, Phyliss; 3 sons, Arend (Kismet) Lock, David Lock, Bill (Alicia) Lock; daughter, Nancy (Ken) Cowan; 5 grandchildren, Alivia, Taylor, Jacob, Dylan, and Hailey; sisters-in-law, Janet Lynn and Opal Hansen; brother-in-law, Ralph Lynn; and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, April 23, 2012, at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson, Mason, MI with the Rev. Gerhard Weigelt officiating. Interment will be in Lake Forest Cemetery, Grand Haven, MI.
