Ruth Marie Braman (Faulkner), aged 77, passed away on October 16, 2024, in Mason, MI. Born on June 13, 1947, Ruth, affectionately nicknamed "Rufer" by her late husband, Raymond Braman, lived a life marked by dedication to her family and career. She is now referred to “Rufer” by her closer friends and family.
Ruth graduated from Napoleon High School where afterwards she moved onto a path of caring for people. Working at assisted living facilities, and daycare centers making sure to care for those who needed assistance. She then embarked on a longstanding career with Meijer, where she worked for many years until her retirement. Known for her reliability and warm presence, Ruth was a cherished employee and colleague.
Some of Ruth’s passions in life included cooking and baking, her family will remember fondly all of the delicious home cooking and baking that Ruth provided. She was also happy to be outdoors, anything that allowed her to enjoy the weather, especially gardening.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Austin Elwood Faulkner and Mary Agnes McCann; her beloved spouse of approximately 45 years, Raymond Braman; her daughter, Jennifer Braman-O'Dowd (Jennifer’s surviving husband Ryan O’Dowd), son Raymond Scott; and siblings, Carol Naples and Butch Faulkner. She is survived by her daughter, Hope Reed; siblings, Connie Casanova (Ernie), Mary Faulkner, and Sharon Potter; granddaughter, Ellen Reed; great-grandchildren, Austin Mathews and Antonio Yates; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ruth's life was enriched by the deep bonds she formed with her family and friends, and she will be remembered for her nurturing spirit and kind heart. Her legacy will live on through the memories cherished by those who loved her.
