She walked in the grace of God with a gentleness that made those around her feel loved and valued. Rose spent all her life in Michigan raising four children and later worked at Electro Wire Company in Mason. She faithfully attended St. James Catholic Church in Mason, Michigan. She truly had a “green thumb” as displayed by her large array of plants in her home. Her sewing talents were of the finest and one of her quilts will be displayed at the memorial service. Her favorite Saturday night TV shows were The Lawrence Welk Show and the Daniel O’Donnell Show, and she loved to do word searches.
Rose is preceded in death by her husbands, Reuel Hartwick and Francis Burgess; daughter, Sandra Hartwick; sister, Frances Zarimba; brothers, Joe, Johnny, Frank, and Walt Kosheba; and sister-in-law, Sandra Kosheba.
Surviving are her brother, Dick (Rita) Kosheba; sisters-in-law, Judy and Vivian Kosheba; 3 children, Dan (Jeanette) Hartwick, Karen (Chuck) Heiler, and Larry (Connie) Hartwick; 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church, 1010 S. Lansing St., Mason, on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 11am. A Rosary will be prayed at 9:30am, and the family will receive friends from 10am until 11am.
Family wishes to thank Cindy Smith for the loving care and kindness she showed Rose in helping as her caregiver aide.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the St. James Catholic Church.
