Olive Janet Ward (Tink) entered into Heaven on June 2, 2018. She was born on August 11, 1942, to parents, Ira and Thelma Tink in Leslie Michigan, where she continued to make her childhood home into her permanent residence.
Olive had several employers including but not limited to; Ingham County Clerk, several banks, the Salvation Army, and retired from the Ingham County Sheriff’s Department after fifteen long years. She also cleaned homes and was a care giver for three special needs boys in the neighborhood.
Olive is preceded in death by her husband Rev. Dale B Ward, her parents, Ira and Thelma (Mocherman), brothers, Bruce Dill, Byron (Barney) Dill, Daniel Tink, sister, Phyllis Spring (Tink), Lewis Tink, and her infant brother Tommy.
Olive is survived by her three children, Christina (Jeff) Kindy, Paul (Stacia) Temple, and Susan Fox (Bob Vaught-fiancé), her grandchildren; Joshua, Sarah, Rachael, Stephanie, Kenneth, Anaya Jo, Dylan, Abby, and great grandchild, Samantha.
Olive belonged to the Eden Brethren Church and spent many years at the Felt Plains United Methodist Church. Her life was spent spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ, Salvation, and Eternal Life, which she now is enjoying as she walks with our holy savior.
Visitation will be held Saturday June 9, 2018 from 11am-1pm and 4pm-6pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes at 621 S. Jefferson St. Mason, Michigan. Celebration of Life at Eden United Brethren Church at 3pm Sunday, June 10, 2018. The church is located at 1938 Eden Rd. Mason, Michigan.
