Michael Eugene Kurtzhals

Michael Eugene Kurtzhals went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at the age of 60. Michael was born August 31, 1962, in Mason, Michigan, son of Arthur and Dorothy Kurtzhals. He was a graduate of Mason High School, Mason, Michigan, class of 1981.

Mike worked at Wyeth-Ayerst in Mason, Michigan, for fourteen and a half years. He was a Union Steward for eight years, local 443 RWDSU. Michael also worked for Alro Steel and RSDC and doing maintenance for a property management company.

Mike was a member of Pennway Church of God. He enjoyed spending time with his family and taking trips with them. Mike enjoyed taking rides with Stephanie, his wife, looking for deer and enjoying nature. Mike was a caring man who always wanted to help others. He and his son Chris liked to target shoot, fish, play golf games and spend time together. Mike enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved being outdoors and listening to the birds. Mike also loved driving through the park with the dogs looking for squirrels. He was a Michigan fan and enjoyed watching football, MMA, Indy and Nascar racing. He loved playing poker with his friends. He Enjoyed going to breakfast with his buddy, Dennis.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Dorothy Kurtzhals, his brother Jerry. Survived by his wife Stephanie, his son Chris, brothers, Barry (Goldie) Kurtzhals, Marco Kurtzhals, brother-in-law Chelsa Ludwick, sisters-in-law Marilyn Kurtzhals, Sharon Surline, Lori Walters, and Paula Ludwick, and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Pennway Church of God, 1101 E. Cavanaugh Rd., Lansing, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Okemos, Michigan. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
