Michael Allen French, 53, passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 12, 2020 in Lansing, Michigan. He was born July 5, 1966 in Lansing and was a proud Navy veteran of Desert Storm. Mike enjoyed hunting and camping with his family - especially Labor Day trips with friends to Charlevoix.
Mike had a passion for all things mechanical and would tinker with just about anything. He also had a love for gardening, although the wildlife often reaped the rewards of his efforts. He was a graduate of Laingsburg High School, class of 1984.
Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Shannon (Bowman) French; his children, Anthony (Sara) French and Haley (fiancé Codi) French; his mother, Christine French; his father, Jimmy (Valrea) French; and his brother, Scott (Jennifer) French.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 from 1pm to 6pm at the Courtyard by Marriott, 2710 Lake Lansing Road in Lansing. Please note the change of address from the previously published service location. In response to recent COVID-19 recommendations, the Celebration of Life will take place in a smaller venue to accommodate the health and safety of all family members and friends
