Margret is survived by her son, Ingo (Teresa) Weyer, her daughter, Tricia (Jason) Embury, Grandchildren Stephanie, Jo, Alainey & Christion, and Great-Grandchildren Aydin & Brooklynn. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Albert, her parents Josef & Maria, and Brothers Josef, Toni, & Hans.
Margret was born on February 25th, 1939 in Bad Godesberg, Germany. She married Albert in 1960 & they immigrated shortly thereafter to the US settling in Lansing, where she raised her children & was involved at IHM parish & elementary school for many years. After moving to Mason in 1994, Margret became a parishioner at St. James Catholic Church & has been actively involved in the St. James' Women's Club & Rosary Group, her “church family'', whom she loved dearly & was forever grateful for their friendship & companionship. Margret & Albert were also active members of the German American Club of Jackson for 40+ years.
Margret was a caring and giving person, always willing to lend a helping hand, whether it was family or friends. Her faith and family were the most important part of her life and she will be dearly missed, but we know she is dancing with Albert again and enjoying flowers & sunshine in her eternal resting place.
Funeral mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church in Mason, MI, October 14th at 11:00 AM. Visitation begins at 10:00 AM & a luncheon will follow the mass. All are welcome to attend & celebrate Margret’s life.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Mason Food Bank or the St. James Women’s Club in her honor.
