Liam, you are Anselm’s first friend. And shared kindness, compassion, delight, silliness to a littler boy who sees Big Boy Liam in awe. 

Sweet Liam, my heart aches every time I walk by the steam and craft projects at the library. I loved gathering them for you and your dad. And I loved the pictures of you with your finished projects. Life at the Daylily farm isn’t going to be the same without your sweet smile, mischievous eyes and heartwarming giggles. You brought so much joy to our lives, you are going to be so missed. My hope is that you are holding Jack’s hand and watching over all of us, knowing how much you were both loved, Tina

Liam. 
Sweet innocent spirit. 

Liam was a breath-of-fresh-air fixture at our Sunday church service by the time he was 2 years old. He would play in the back of the church, yet was very in tune to what was going on around him and felt the energy of his environment. His cute vocalizations would be heard and felt by all in attendance because they came at just the perfect time in the minister’s message to put an exclamation point on the message and make it more profound. We also got a good chuckle. He would engage in the music by moving to the beat or dancing to its rhythm. My husband Jon became interactive with Liam because they both sat in the back of the church. Jon to usher and Liam to attend the service with his mom. Neither Jon nor I can make sense of why our Creator would take Liam back to his spirit body so young. Our saving grace is to ask ourselves, “what did Liam teach me”? He had a purpose on Earth. What was it? Each of us will have our own answers. Maybe some answers we will have difficulty acknowledging. But one answer we are sure of is, he gave us an experience of an innocent fresh shiny miraculous sparkling Angel on Earth. Thank you Liam for that. Spread your wings precious. God speed as you journey back home. We love you. 

Mark - I'm praying for you.  Grandpa Murphy will be watching over Liam while you two are apart.

 We are so, so sorry for your loss. Condolences to all of Liam's family.  I never met Liam, but his beautiful smile made me wish I had.  


Mark - I pray you find the strength to endure the loss of your precious Liam.  Please know that everyone is grieving with you and for you, and would do anything to take away the pain of this unfathomable loss of such a special little boy.   Lean on your family for support to help you through your darkest hours.

Such a happy boy. This picture is how I will always think of Liam…ready for the next adventure and full of joy. 

Thank you, Liam, for teaching me how to check my tire pressure via video chat.

Liam must have been able to see so much from up there. 

When it got too windy, Mark would remind Liam to hold on to his hat, so Liam would put one hand on his own hat and one hand on Mark's hat.

I'm so greatful for all of the video calls we enjoyed together.  I was always interested in learning what Liam was having for dinner. 

I love Liam so much. He always had a bright smile and twinkle in his eye that brought a smile to my face. Talking to him on video chat was always a highlight of my day. I loved his love for animals. I meet a new dog and think “Liam would love you.”

Such a sweet sweet boy.  All of the Stouts will remember your smile, your energy, your curiosity and your loving nature.  Thanks for being a part of our lives.  I'll miss sharing summer lunches with you.

I will always remember how Liam liked to drive his cars and trucks on the couch.  The car would drive up, drop off it's passenger, and Liam would make the "beeep beeep" sound while the car backed up and turned around. 

One of the games he would alway love to play with me was to pretend to be a dog. 🐶

I loved when you came to visit us. So many happy memories to keep and love forever. 💕

We had such a fun time at the zoo last summer. 

We miss you, Liam. Wherever you are, I hope there are puppies and tiny tape.

Dear Claire,
There are no words of comfort at a time of such tragedy.  I cannot even fathom what the loss of your precious Liam has done to you. 

I like imagining that Liam was as good natured as you.  I can see your little face so clearly from Smith School and picture him with the same sweetness that always shone from your smile. 

If well meaning thoughts and prayers from afar do anything to help, know that I am sending them to you in the hope that somehow you are able to find some peace.  And I hope for you that there will be a day in the future when his memory will bring you a smile and some sunshine.

The Fledge is a great place to meet phenomenal individuals–people just like you, Liam. I wish I could’ve met you, too. I’m sure your beautiful soul and smile will be sorely missed. 

Every member of our family will love sweet Liam forever, and we promise we will never forget him.  We wish so much we could have watched him grow up and learn and hear about all the amazing things he was going to do with his life, but since we can't, we promise to keep his memory alive in our hearts. 

Whenever Liam came around the corner to the farm we all knew our day would somehow immediately get better and definitely more fun.  Whether the activity consisted of his big kid friends simply running around with him,  him helping us pull some weeds or just watching him run up and down the rows and wondering where he would end up next, he brought so much love and joy to us all.  Without a doubt, daylily life was infinitely better with Liam in it. 

I know I speak for all of us at the farm when I say the mulch pile will never be the same, and we will always think of our joyful and kind friend Liam and smile often when we jump, crawl, take pictures on it and dig into it. 

Our hearts are with you, Mark and Claire.  Love - Big Dave, Regina, Jack in heaven, Mary, Ella, Bubbles and Tommy    

Liam was LOVE ENERGY in it's truest form. He brightened the room wherever he went. He will truly be missed by his Fledge Family and his Unity Family.
His contagious smile, curious eyes and long blonde curls will be forever remembered.

Liam brought so much love, light, and laughter to all who knew him. He was so inquisitive. Always exploring and mirroring what was going on around him. 

I remember when he was about two years old. He was walking away, hands clasped behind his back, head bent forward and shoulders tipped towards the ground. He kept walking and he would look left, then right, left, then right. After each glance he would nod his head up and down with approval. 

I asked Claire, “What is he doing?” She smiled and told me that the farmer next door to them would walk up and down the rows of his vegetables, glancing left to right and nodding as he checked out his crops. He nodded when he was pleased with what he saw. I could see that farmer in that moment in Liam, so perfectly captured. 

I will always think of Liam as a bright, happy, little boy who loved his mother and his father and took great joy knowing he was loved deeply by both of them. What was there not to love? 

I will miss you dear boy.

I would be lying if I said Liam’s little dinosaur hats didn’t inspire my current style. Such a sweet boy. 

Liam was a bringing of smiles to all of us.  During the pandemic, we prepared bags of spiritual inspiration to drop off at the houses of our members.  Liam painted a whole bunch of rocks which were part of those inspirational gifts.
Liam never failed to touch the carefree child in all of us. He consistently called for our best.  And we are all blessed for having known him.
