Growing up in Dansville, Kathy attended Dansville High School. She married her first husband, the late Richard "Dick" Charles Warner, who preceded her in death in 1966. She was married to Sherman Edward Farmer who survives, for 25 years before they divorced in 1993. She would later wed Byron J. Davis who also preceded her in death in 2005. Kathy took great pride in her employment endeavors with Interstate Highway Construction for more than 20 years. She admired her IHC family and was a proud member of the Teamsters Union. Kathy retired from IHC in 2005 to be by her husband's side and care for him fulltime through his courageous battle with cancer.
Kathy had a niche for crafts and especially enjoyed making quilts, especially for babies. She was a fearless woman who enjoyed going to the casino, travelling, and taking many trips with her prized camper. She was an avid sports fan of NASCAR champion, Jimmie Johnson. Kathy was well-known and well-loved in her community, being "Mom" to many. Anyone who knew Kathy knew that they were a part of her family and being the family-oriented woman she was, to be a part of her family was to be loved sincerely and unconditionally. Those who were lucky enough to know her, will forever miss her loving spirit and cherish her memory for ever more.
Kathy is survived by her beloved children, Charles (Kacie) Warner, Karen Warner, Kamie (Shane) Burnside, Laura (Rick) Mills, Patrick Farmer (Jennifer Klinger), and Jennifer Davis (Rick Horton); her admired grandchildren, Shawn (Morgan) Wemple, Thomas Schnipke, Krista Wemple, Chelsea Warner, Jonathon (Kim) Schnipke, Zachary (Lara) Mills, Dylan Teigeler, Travis DeSilva, Seth Mills, Darion Greenlee, Haylee (Rob) Orbel, Joseph Derby, and Carter Mills; many great-grandchildren; brother, Kirk Quenby; brother-in-law, Paul Risner; many nieces, nephews, and all extended family members. She is preceded in death by her first late husband, Richard "Dick" Charles Warner; second late husband, Byron J. Davis; son, Gordon Warner; sister, Earlene Risner; and parents, Leonard and Alice Quenby.
A visitation for Kathy will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Mason Chapel, 621 South Jefferson St., Mason, MI 48854. A funeral service will take place on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 2:00 PM, with a one-hour prior visitation from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at the funeral home. Following the service, Kathy will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery, E Dansville Rd (M36), Dansville, MI 48819.
Serving as pallbearers are Shawn Wemple, Zachary Mills, Dylan Teigeler, Josh Nevills, Thomas Schnipke, and Jonathon Schnipke. Serving as an honorary pallbearer is Joseph Derby. Officiating the services will be Pastor Toby Teague.
