JESSE LaVERN BROOKMAN, age 68, died in Grand Rapids, MI June 12, 2011. He was born May 12, 1943, in Newberry, South Carolina to Wayne D. and Laura F. (Miller) Brookman. A Vietnam War veteran, Jesse honorably served in the US Marine Corp. A Memorial Service will be held 4:00 PM, Friday, June 17, 2011, at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson, Mason, MI 48854. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 3:00 - 4:00 PM. Interment will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family (Fran Getter, c/o Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson, Mason, MI 48854) to assist with final expenses.
