Jerimiah David Mack, 44, passed away on October 17, 2024, in Lansing, Michigan. Born on January 12, 1980, in Fountain Valley, California, Jerimiah was a cherished member of a large and loving family, and his absence is profoundly felt by all who knew him.
Jerimiah was a graduate of San Pasqual High School, where he was recognized as an honor student, and later attended Michigan State University. Following his academic pursuits, he served honorably in the U.S. Navy.
Professionally, Jerimiah was known as a computer wizard, often referred to as the family's IT support. His expertise and willingness to help others with their tech problems were greatly appreciated by his family, friends, and colleagues.
Beyond his professional and military life, Jerimiah was an avid outdoorsman. He had a passion for mountain biking, frequently riding the trails at Burchfield Park, and was also an enthusiastic frisbee golfer, often found perfecting his throw at local parks. He had recently taken up photography and quickly became known as the team photographer at his daughter’s volleyball games.
Jerimiah's personality and interests were only eclipsed by his role in his family. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Elise and step-son, Caleb, and a beloved fiancé to Anne Croley. His life was also enriched by his parents, Kim Mandichak and Kevin Mack, step-parents Andy Mandichak and Terri Mack, siblings Brandon, Nathanael, and Danielle, step-sister Holly Berkey, extended family, including his ex-wife Amanda Kolb and many nieces and nephews. His grandparents David Wickersham, Judith Fullerton, Janeane Mack, E. Barry Mack, and Georgie Kleiter also survive him.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to his close childhood friends, Paulino, Marc, Kari, Stefan, Jamie, Dominic, Ruben, and colleagues Scot, Scott, Matt, and Moose.
Jerimiah's life will be honored at a Memorial Visitation scheduled for Friday, October 25, from 3 to 7 pm at Gorsline Runciman Ball-Dunn Chapel, 621 South Jefferson Street, Mason, Michigan. His family invites friends and loved ones to join them in remembering a man who was not only a caring big brother and devoted friend but also someone who could always be relied upon for support, laughter, and wisdom.
There will be celebrations for his family and friends in San Diego, California and Arizona at a later date.
