Henry was the first person in his family to attend college and all of his adult children followed in his footsteps which made him very proud. Education was very important to him and a big part of his life as he was a lifelong learner and obtained many degrees, doctorates and many honors over the years. Henry was granted admission before the Supreme Court, was a coach for Moot Court and held a seat as faculty on the Michigan State Law School to name just a few of his academic accomplishments. During his personal time Henry enjoyed traveling, taking cruises and spending time with his family.
Henry is survived by his wife, Pamela Heemer; 7 children, Robert L. Heemer, Benjamin L. Heemer, Jonathan L. Heemer, Henry L. Legere, III, Joseph E. Legere, Monique K. Legere, Sasha L. Beling; 8 grandchildren, Preston, Madison, Riley, Chloe, Cole, Elyse, Claire, Amelia; in-laws, Robert A. & Joanne M. Heemer; 2 sisters, Michele Addison, Rose Spina. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers, Michael, Charles and William Legere.
