Mrs. McKenzie was born in Princeton on February 6, 1928 to Chester F. and Edna E. (Brown) Taylor. She married William McKenzie on November 6, 1965.
Hazel retired after over 30 years from the former KMART on St. Joseph’s Road in Evansville, Indiana. She had formerly worked at Skelton’s Conservatory of Flowers and as a pharmacy assistant at DeMoss Rexall Drugs in Princeton.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and two brothers, George B. Taylor and Earle Lloyd Taylor. Hazel is survived by her son Earle Joseph MacKenzie and family, her sister, Wilma Eads, her former daughter-in-law and primary care giver, Melissa Eckert, granddaughters Taylor MacKenzie, Devan Walworth and Kyla Walworth, as well as several nieces and nephews. A very special thank you to all of the wonderful caregivers who have assisted and loved Hazel during her last year.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the White Church (Columbia) Cemetery in Princeton.
