He was married to Louise Cook, December 25, 1944, in Great Falls, Montana while stationed at East Base (Army Air Corps) during World War II. After his discharge they came back to Michigan. After graduating from Hillsdale College they moved to Mason. He was a high school teacher in Mason and Lansing for many years.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Louise, and second wife Mary Breen, his brother and sister-in-law, Harlan and Connie Edgington; and son-in-law, Don Fackler.
He is survived by his daughters, Pat Fackler of Mason, and Pam (Rich) Pender of Paw Paw; grandchildren Brad (Heather) Fackler of Caledonia, and Wendy (Chris) Wybenga of Middleville; and great-grandchildren Ethan, Nolan, and Addyson.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Don can be made to Heartland Hospice Care, 865 South Cedar Street, Mason, Michigan 48854.
