Debbie, we are so very sorry for your loss. We didn't know David really well, but he always seemed so kind whenever we saw him. Our hearts go out to you. Isn't it so wonderful to know that you two will see each again someday because you both know Jesus as your Savior. What a day that will be!

No kinder, gentler and big hearted man walked with us in this life. I have remembered him until this day and will do so in all my days to come. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. Greive not the lose but celebrate the life.

David was amazing, I will miss our wacky conversations, the ”david eye” and all the john wayne westerns and world war movies. He was truly blessed to have such a loving, caring, devoted wife and family. I will miss my bud tremendously, my condolences to the family I have gotten so close to, we will miss uou guys.

For the loved ones he left behind, my sympathy.  May you rest in peace David.

I remember when Roy was overseas, and I came to visit his mom & dad.  I was excited to be in Mason, having 2 days off from work & school.  When I pulled into the driveway, I found no one home, so I went up to the shop.  There I found only David, covered in mud, standing watch on the phones.  Mom was out running errands, and Dad was out on a job.  As David greeted me, he commented that when I drove by, he noticed one of my tires was very low on air.   We walked down to my car, and sure enough, I had a flat.
David jumped right in, took off the wheel, pulled tube, found the puncture, (I'd picked up a nail on the way from Kalamazoo), removed that blasted nail,
repaired the tube and put it all back together in a matter of minutes.  Fortunately, Mom had returned to woman the phones, so David was free to 
work his magic.   I was so appreciative.   I thanked him and offered to pay, but he would not hear of it.   He said,  "some day you'll be able to do something kind for someone, and you will, and that is my payment."   This was all he said, went back to the shop, and finished his day of work.  That's the man I knew as my husband's brother; a man of few words and very kind.

So, so proud to call you my Dad. Thank you so much for teaching me by example how to be a good person. Love you.

Some of my best memories of David are sitting around the dining table with my husband, Dorson, planning motorcycle runs, especially,the great trip we had to Niagara Falls, over to Maine, down the coast of the Atlantic to Boston, and on home to Mason. Dorson and I made it in 5 days, and you and Deb broke down in PA, and added an extra day or two to the journey. A better friend could never be found.
