Was born July 10, 1945 to S.W. “Bill” and Eleanor (Gretton) Hart in Jackson, Michigan. He died August 25, 2013 at the age of 68. David was a graduate of Mason High School and was co-owner of Hart Well Drilling Company in Mason. He was the first person in the State to receive 100% on the water well drillers exam. David loved classic cars, working on car engines, motorcycles, traveling and playing his guitar. He was a member of Meridian Christian Church in Okemos, County Seat Old Car Club, Mason Motorcycle Club, Leslie Jaycees and Michigan Ground Water Association. He was preceded in death by his father, and step-son, Gary McLellen. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Debra; children, Jeffrey Hart, Sherilyn Hart, Mollie (Chad) Deitz, Megan Hart; grandchildren, Alexandra, Rachel, Elijah, Rowan; great-granddaughter, Zezalyn; mother, Eleanor Hart; brothers, Roy (Judy) Hart, Gerald (Wanda) Hart; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. David always treated people as he wished to be treated no matter how they treated him! The family appreciates the nurses and staff of the Ingham County Medical Care Facility for the excellent care they provided to David over the past 15 months. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson, Mason, MI with John Datema officiating, interment to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and 1 hour prior to the service.
