Collin is survived by his parents John and Lynda (Crisler) Simpson of Mason, MI; his brother Ian
Simpson of Mason; his grandparents Keith and Mary Crisler of Holt, MI, and Eleanor Simpson
of Fenton, MI. Collin is also survived by aunts and uncles David Simpson and Romana Zvereva,
Colleen Plets, Bridget Durant, Peggy and Louis Crisler-Smith, as well as cousins Lindsay Waldman,
Brennan Simpson, Chelsey and Anthony Zazo, Rory, Paige, Seth, and Brent Crisler-Smith, and Lucas Zverev.
Collin is preceded in death by his grandfather John E. Simpson of Fenton, MI; his uncle John Crisler of East Lansing, MI; and his uncle Mark Plets of Shelby Township, MI.
Collin was born on June 5, 1996 in Lansing, MI, to parents John and Lynda. He graduated from Mason HS in June 2014. At the time of his passing, Collin was employed with Dart Container of Mason. Collin was also well known for his time preparing and serving terrific sandwiches at the Subway in Mason.
Collin was a considerate, kind, and polite gentleman who loved his family and friends. He would always go out of his way to help a friend in need, and cared for those less fortunate. Collin was very well spoken and loved a good laugh. He cherished the pets that were in his life over the years, including his most recent dog Izzy and cat Saige. Collin’s interests included Japanese Anime, art, cooking, movies, music, politics, travel, video games and weight training. Collin and his mom were sushi buddies. He also attained a green belt in karate and played the French horn and guitar.
Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday September 29, 2021, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, Mason, MI. We will pray the Rosary at 7:30 PM Wednesday. Visitation will also take place Thursday September 30, 2021, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at St James Catholic Church, Mason, with a Funeral Mass following at 11:00 AM at St James. Father Kusi Cobana will preside. A luncheon will be served in St James Cave Hall after the Funeral Mass. Collin will be interred at Maple
Grove Cemetery, Mason.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Friends of Ingham County Parks, Ingham County Animal Shelter, or St James Catholic Church in memory of Collin.
