Cheryl was a vibrant woman who embraced life with the heart and soul of a child. She leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories that capture the essence of her passions and the joy she brought to all who knew her.
Born on May 30, 1955 to Jerry and Caroline Kramer, Cheryl lived a life colored by an unquenchable spirit and an infectious sense of wonder. She married her beloved husband, David Rood on June 30, 2007. David and Cheryl loved spending time with their family and one another. She had an unwavering love for the beach, where the crashing waves and endless expanse of the lakes provided solace and inspiration. Whether simply laying in the sand or gazing out at the horizon, Cheryl found a profound connection to nature's beauty and tranquility.
A voracious reader, Cheryl found solace in the pages of books that transported her to different worlds and ignited her imagination. Her parents owned a book store where she worked for many years and the smell of opening a new book lit up her eyes. Puzzles were a favorite pastime, reflecting her tenacious spirit and love for piecing together life's intricate patterns. Her passion for puzzles was emblematic of her approach to life – patient, diligent, and always up for a challenge.
Camping under the stars was another adventure Cheryl held dear. The embrace of nature's grandeur, the crackling of campfires, and the shared stories with loved ones created cherished memories that brought her closer to both nature and family.
Cheryl will be dearly missed by her loving husband, David; her children, Jeanie Ogger, Steve (Jenny) Stokes, Jimmy (Ashley) Stokes, and "The Favorite" Tracy (Aaron) Shrum; her siblings, Jerry Kramer and Rick (Sue) Kramer; her grandchildren, Tyler, Isabella, Thomas, and Caroline Stokes and Savannah, Ann, and Destinee Shrum; and her dear friend, Teresa (Jim) Sigman. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Zachary; and her sister-in-law, Robin Kramer.
