Barbara J. Hammond

Born December 20, 1928 in Harbor Beach, Michigan to Robert and Lottie (Minard) Wood, passed away on February 13, 2017 at the age of 88. Barbara was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Ft. Meyers Florida. She was a past Matron of the O.E.S. and past Noble of the Grand Rebekkah Lodge. Barbara was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion Auxiliary in Harbor Beach, MI. She was the cafeteria manager at the Harbor Beach High School for many years. Barbara loved traveling with her grandchildren and using Snapchat and Facebook.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Wallace; son-in-law, Richard Rogers; grandson, Noel Rogers; brothers, Burton and Emerson Wood; sister, Margaret Blashill. Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughters, Evelyn Bochenek, Kathleen (Barney) Eagan, Dorothy Rogers; son, Wallace “Fred” (Wendy) Hammond; 8 grandchildren, Beth (Billy) Ward, Kyle Krawczyk, Hope Eagan, Eric (Therese) Schneider, Tyler (Theresa) Eagan, Melissa (Michael) Moran, Becky (Greg) Crouch, Michael Hammond; 5 great-grandchildren, Noel Ward, Ashleigh Schneider, Brendan Schneider, Emma Crouch, Samuel Crouch; sisters, Bernice Kloska, Ruth Turner and several nieces and nephews.
