William Dyson Jung, Sr., also known as "Billy" was born on November 11, 1923 in Florence, SC. He was the son of the late Julia Dyson and Sam Jung also of Florence, SC. He departed this life on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 in Everett, WA.
Before retiring in 1985, he worked as a welder for 30 years in several shipyards and for aircraft manufacturers in Groton, CT, Oakland, CA and finally Seattle, WA. He graduated from Wilson High School in 1940. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, independent spirit, love of fishing, photography, gardening, reading and jazz record collection.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita (Wilcox) Jung. He is survived by his son William Dyson Jung, Jr., daughter Chinca Julia Jung and grandson Jeremy Dyson Mootz.
