Pat attended schools in Missoula and Florence, MT and graduated in 1972 from Florence Carlton High School.
Pat worked for several years for Big Brothers and Sisters in Missoula managing their fund-raising efforts. She also attended the University of Montana and graduated in 1993 with a Master's degree in Business Administration.
Her son, Benjamin John Martin, was born September 30, 1981, in Missoula.
After graduation, Pat moved to Helena to begin a career in consulting. She worked for several companies until forming her own company, which principally contracted with state health care agencies across the country.
She met her husband, Dave Eckert, while working in the Pacific Northwest. Pat was also known to her close friends and Dave as Trish. And after they married in 2010, Trish and Dave settled in Marysville, Washington.
They loved to travel and entertain, and they enjoyed working together as a team to remodel and redecorate their home into a comfortable and welcoming space.
Trish retired from consulting in 2016, and she and Dave continued to enjoy their time together entertaining and traveling until the COVID pandemic curtailed both.
Trish was an extremely loving and generous person. She took great care of her sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews, and donated generously to many local charities.
She is preceded in death by her father Jack, mother Alice Jo, and niece Sarah Blackwell.
Trish is survived by the love of her life, Dave Eckert of Marysville, WA. and her son Ben Martin of Missoula, MT. She is also survived by Dave’s sons, Nate Eckert, of Los Angeles, CA and Keith Eckert of Marysville, WA.
Also surviving are her siblings Pam Baylor (Missoula, MT), Kathy Martin (Jericho, VT), Terri Casillas (San Antonio, TX), Chris Ruffatto (Stevensville, MT), Peg Kaan (Hot Springs, SD), John Martin (Victor, MT), Melody Sanders (Anaconda, MT), Tom Martin (San Antonio, TX) and Bernie Martin (Snohomish, WA). She is also survived by her stepmother Linda Martin and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation by Aquamation is planned. Services may be announced at a later date.
It is Dave’s wish that any memorial donations be made to the Harris/Walz Presidential Campaign, because that is what Trish would have wanted.
