He was born to Ella Mae and Richard Bailey in Virginia in 1926.
Bill moved to Marysville in 1954 where he met his loving wife Lois A. (Byers) Bailey of 58 years. Bill is survived by his wife Lois, his 2 children Linda (Ken), Lee (Cheryl), his 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, and is preceded in his passing by his parents and 7 siblings.
Bill worked as a Forest Service road engineer for 50+ years until he retired in 1988, then spending many years traveling and volunteering for Christian organizations.
Bill was known for his passion of fitness, running, biking, and loved hunting.
Bill also proudly served as a paratrooper during World War II.
As Bill would say “keep smiling and see you in the funnies” we will miss him.
A memorial service will be held at Marysville First Baptist on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 2pm
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bills’ memory to Warm Beach Lights of Christmas.
