Lenore Marlene Rose

Lenore Marlene Rose, born on March 26, 1932, passed away on May 14, 2018. Marlene, as she was better known, was born in Milwaukee, WI to Herbert M. Angus and Eunice Morrical. She graduated from Marysville High School and attended Pacific Lutheran University and Everett Community College. Marlene married John William Rose Jr in 1955 in Marysville WA and had two children, David and Kevin, who she adored. She worked as a bookkeeper at KRKO and the administrative assistant for the Culinary Program at EvCC. Marlene was deeply involved with the United Methodist Church in Marysville. She also had a great love for Spee-bi-dah beach and her beach friends. Marlene is preceded in death by her husband John W. Rose Jr (1959) and sister, Diane Ross (2013). She is survived by her children David (Jody) Rose and Kevin (Heidi) Rose; sister, Bonnie Griffith; 6 grandchildren, Matthew, Brittany, Zachary, Kenzie, Kiah, and Jenelle; and 5 great-granddaughters, Avery, Blakely, Camryn, Hannah, and Curtis. Services will be Friday, May 25, 2018 at 10am at the Marysville United Methodist Church. Memorial donations may be made in Marlene’s memory to Seattle Children’s Hospital or the Marysville United Methodist Church.
