Daryl was full of life, right up to the time the Lord took him home, October 12th, 2017. Born August 8th, 1924 in North Branch, MN, he enjoyed playing basketball and football in his youth. After graduating, he served his country in WWII with the Army Air Corps, eventually finishing his time as a Captain in the Air Force Reserves. He thoroughly enjoyed sharing stories and pictures of his military experience in WWII as a radar technician. He loved his work after military life, dedicating 32 years as an employee of the Scott Paper Company. During this time he was married Frances Moses, in which they had two children, Jeffrey and Jilldette.
Later in life, he found happiness in many of life’s simple joys, including bowling, steelhead fishing, feeding birds, listening to music, watching college/professional sports, and volunteering. He met and married Priscilla Tate in 2007. He had many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews that he will miss dearly. He is preceded in death by his sisters Bonita Treichel and Trena Ekstrom.
A memorial service will be held on October 21st, 2017 at 2:00pm at The Grove Church in Marysville, where Daryl was a member. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to local hospice foundations.
