Bertha Holmes was born in Lowell, Washington Sept. 16, 1918 to Mathias and Francis Jansha. She passed away on April 4, 2011. She married Charles “Chub” Holmes her childhood sweetheart and love of her life. Bertha was a tireless worker which contributed to the founding of Jansha Tanning Company. In addition she worked over 40 years for the Bargreen Coffee Co. in Everett. Her real joy and passion was cooking and entertaining for family and friends. She is survived by son Mark Holmes, daughter Marsha Warden, son-in-law Michael Warden, and grandson Charles Warden. At her request no public service is planned.
