Shelby Jean Nester Richardson, of Martinsville, died Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. She was born in Martinsville, Virginia to the late Lloyd Nester and Edith Katherine Jefferson Nester. She was a teacher at Mount Olivet Elementary and Carlisle School for over thirty years. She was a member of Chatmoss Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Philip S. Richardson.
Surviving are two sons, Philip W. Richardson of Orlando, Fl and Joel D. Richardson of Winston Salem, NC, and two sisters, Joretta Reedy of Roanoke, Va and Patricia Pegram of Martinsville.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, December 23, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Roselawn Burial Park with the Rev. Dr. David Adkins officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday December 22, 2012 from 4 to 6 PM at Mckee -Stone funeral home.
