Ruth Stuart

Ruth Stuart passed away peacefully on December 9, 2022 at the age of 98. She was born in Fargo, ND in 1924 to Hubert and Doris (Matheison) Harrington, the elder of two daughters. Ruth married Harry H. Stuart II (deceased) in Jackson Heights, New York on November 6, 1955. She is survived by three children, Harry III, Kathryn Wilton and Sarah Stuart, as well as by four grandchildren.

Ruth resided in Greenwich, CT, for many years, where she was very active in the Putnam Hill Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and served as regent of that chapter for a time. Early in the 1980’s, she and her husband moved to Orlando, FL, and were active members of First Baptist Church Orlando, and members of Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club.

Memorial services will be held in Virginia sometime in the spring of 2023.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes or to the Gideon Bible Society be made in Ruth’s name.
