Roy Grant Cruise

Roy Grant Cruise, 87, of Moores Mill Road, Ridgeway, died Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Danville Regional Medical Center. He was born in Caretta, West Virginia, May 28, 1925 to Russell C. and Ethel Grogan Cruise. He retired from Pannill Knitting Company after 40 years of service and was a member of Horsepasture Christian Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Joyce Cruise.

Surviving are two sons, Steve A. Cruise and wife, Celia R. of Ridgeway, Dennis L. Cruise and wife, Debra H. of Lynchburg; one sister, Ora C. Joyce of Ridgeway; four grandchildren, Grant Thomas Cruise, John Christopher Cruise, Jesse Russell Cruise, and Chelsea Elkana Cruise; one great-grandchild, Alexandria Nichole Cruise.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville with Pastor Keith Vernon officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service and other times at the home of Steve and Celia Cruise, 948 Moore’s Mill Road, Ridgeway, VA 24148.

Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
