Mr. Michael Lynch Guilfoyle
September 13, 1956 – August 4, 2019

On Sunday, August 4, 2019, Michael Lynch Guilfoyle, father of three children and avid Hokie fan, passed away at age 62.
Mike was born on September 13, 1956 in Roanoke, VA to John Rohan Guilfoyle III and Frances Christine Lynch Guilfoyle.
He was a kind and gentle person. Mike was a lover of music and although he didn’t play any specific instrument, he claimed that he could play the stereo with the best of them. He loved to socialize and could talk into the wee hours of the night. Mike dearly loved his family and will be missed by those who knew him.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Jack, and his mother, Christine. He is survived by his three sons, Zachary Michael Guilfoyle and wife, Sarah; Nathan Smith Guilfoyle and Lauren; and Patrick Charles Guilfoyle. He is also survived by a brother, John Rohan Guilfoyle IV and wife, Janis; and three sisters, Anne Guilfoyle Ellis; Norma Coulling and husband, Bob; and Mary Hale; six nephews and two nieces, Jason Guilfoyle; John Guilfoyle V; Brian Stephens and wife, Breanne; Landon Stephens and wife, Nicole; Hannah Ellis Mikulak and husband, Michael; William Ellis; Rachel Hale; and Colby Hale; great-nieces and nephews, Madelynn and Mason Stephens; and Grayson, Jude, Avery, and Owen Mikulak.
A memorial service is scheduled at The Rescue Mission of Roanoke chapel for Saturday, August 17th at 11:00 AM. Friends and family will be received one hour prior to the service.
There will be a funeral mass at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 21st at Our Lady of Nazareth.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Rescue Mission of Roanoke, 402 4th St SE, Roanoke, VA 24013.
