Matthew Wayne Wade

Matthew Wayne Wade, 32, of Martinsville, died Friday, July 23, 2010 at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville. He was born in Martinsville, January 25, 1978 to Wayne and Debra Wade of 1121 Sylvan Avenue in Martinsville. He was a 1996 graduate of Laurel Park High School and was a certified Pharmacy Technician. He was employed by Family Pharmacy in Stanleytown and was of the Baptist Faith. Matthew also chose to give the “Gift of Life” through tissue donation so that the lives of others may be enhanced.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Thad Wade of Martinsville; his maternal grandmother, Elizabeth H. Gower of Martinsville; aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Edward Gower, Sr. and his paternal grandparents, Harvey T. and Ruby A. Wade.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Homes, Martinsville Chapel with the Rev. Gary Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Collins-McKee-Stone, Martinsville Chapel and other times at the home of his parents.
