Martha Reed Roach Lopez

Martha Reed Roach Lopez, 68, of Axton, Virginia passed away on July 22, 2014. She was born in Washington D.C. on November 1, 1945 to the late Redd Roach and Daisy Haley Roach.
Mrs. Lopez retired from the United States Postal Service with 30 years of service. She was a member of the Carroll Memorial United Methodist Church in Axton Va. She was also a member of the US Postal Service Union. Mrs. Lopez loved her Chihuahua Francina (Chachita) and also enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the Casinos.
She is survived by her husband, Juan P. Lopez; brothers, Lewis Carroll Roach and his wife Helen, and Gerald Redd Roach and his wife Beverly; sisters, Mary Lee Neslund and husband Doug, and Emma Jacqueline Roach, three nephews, five nieces and numerous great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lopez was also very close to her good friends, John and Jackie Esposito, and John and Carol Bowles.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McKee-Stone Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Roselawn Burial Park. James Cole will officiate.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be sent to the Brosville Rescue Squad, 11912 Martinsville Highway, Danville, VA. 24541.
