Margaret Gordon Crum

She was born in Fieldale on August 15, 1923 to Carl Eugene Gordon and Ila Ruth Dalton Gordon. She was a 1943 graduate of Fieldale High School and a long-time member of Fieldale Baptist Church. She retired from Fieldcrest-Cannon Mills after 46 years of service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. Paul Crum and a brother, Carl Eugene Gordon, Jr.

She is survived by one son, James E. Crum and wife Maria of Fort Mill, SC; two grandchildren, Alyssa Dixon and Stephen Crum; two great-grandchildren, Paige and Trey Dixon; one sister, Bettie G. Byrd of California, MD.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Roselawn Burial Park with Pastor Frank S. Gribble, III and Rev. Richard Harrison officiating.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:o00 PM at McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville.
