Maggie C Pratt

Born in Rockingham County, NC, June 14, 1921, she was a daughter of the late John Columbus Cox and Hope Compton Cox. Also preceding her in death was her husband of fifty years James A. Pratt, her sister Mildred Cox, and brothers, Harry Cox, Frank Cox and John Cox III.

Maggie was a member of Mayo Christian Church.

Surviving are her daughter Laura P. Cobler and her husband Bobby of Horsepasture, her granddaughter Jessica C. Lovell and her husband Jim of Spencer, her grandson James R. Cobler of Burbank, CA, and three great-grandchildren, Robert Tatum, Taylor Lovell and Maci Lovell.

The graveside funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, July 13, 2014, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery with Minister Curt Ashley officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Horsepasture Christian Church, 1146 Horsepasture-Price Rd, Ridgeway, VA 24148, Mayo Christian Church, 4949 George Taylor Rd, Spencer, VA 24165, or Mountain Valley Hospice, 22099 Jeb Stuart Hwy, Stuart, VA 24171.
