Lorene McBride Kellam

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Marshall Kellam and her son, James Aubrey Kellam.

Lorene was retired from Tultex with thirty-six years of service as a Supervisor. She enjoyed reading and time with her family and was of the Baptist Faith.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy K. Ashby and special friend, Bobby Stultz of Axton, her sisters, Brenda Pruitt and husband, Curtis of Axton and Nancy Solomon and husband, Bobby of Jacksonville, FL, her brothers, Rodger McBride and wife, Mabel of Fieldale, Billy McBride and wife, Shirley of Figsboro, daughter-in-law, Judy Kellam of Axton, four grandchildren, Christy Smith of Axton, Tracy Lawless of Ridgeway, Stacy Motley of Martinsville and Cindy Stout of Axton and nine great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Friday, February 20, 2015, at 2:00 PM at McKee-Stone Funeral Home, Martinsville Chapel with Rev. Larry Lufman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and at other times at 1705 Hobson Road, Axton, VA. Interment will follow at Roselawn Burial Park.
