Irene "Billie" McDaniel

Irene (Billie) McDaniel, 87, of Richmond and formerly of Horsepasture, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2015 in Richmond. She was born in Henry County, October 26, 1927 to George H. and Nannie Martin Williams. She graduated from Spencer-Penn High School in 1945, was a bookkeeper for American Furniture and later retired from Piedmont Trust Bank. Billie was a member of Horsepasture Christian Church where she played Piano for 26 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Numa W. McDaniel; three sisters, Geneva Hensley, Lorraine Bouldin and Sarah Williams; two brothers, George Kenneth Williams and Woodrow Williams.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Cara McDaniel of Richmond and Lee and Lisa McDaniel of Odessa, Florida; three grandchildren, Jason Hall, Riley McDaniel and Ella McDaniel; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Horsepasture Christian Church with interment in the church cemetery. Minister Dave Cuthbertson will officiate at the service.
