Wanda was born on October 20, 1927 and was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert (Bud) Leonard Church; parents: Earl Booke Dyche and Laura Elva (Ward) Dyche; brothers: Kenneth Ward Dyche, Charles Kendal Dyche, Earl William Dyche, Carl Arthur Dyche, James Brooke Dyche, Donald Franklin Dyche, Gary Lee Dyche; and sisters: Harriet Virginia (Dyche) Unger, Mildred Dyche, Marion Dyche, Doris Dyche, Pearliee (Dyche) Greenfield, Mary Ann (Dyche) Fields; and one granddaughter, Melody Yvonne (Church) Wolfe.
She is survived by sons: Robert William Church and Carl Wayne Church; grandchildren: Amber (Church) Adams, Jason Church, and Dustin Church; as well as six great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
She married Robert on September 24, 1949 and remained married to him till the time of his passing on March 14, 2013.
Over the years, she worked as a Ticket Agent for the B & O Railroad and a Phone Operator for C & P Telephone Company. However, her real passion was for her family and her Church. She also loved to cook and bake. Anyone who came to her house hungry didn’t leave without eating. After their retirement, they traveled the country many times visiting most of the National Parks. She remained very active in the Church over the years and remained very dedicated to the end.
No one could have ever had a better, more loving Wife or Mother.
Friends will be received on Friday, February 17, 2023 from 6-8pm at Rosedale Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 1pm at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in Martinsburg. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
