Shirley Ann Howell

Shirley Ann Howell, a devoted, hard-working, and kind-hearted individual, passed away on April 22, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on June 14, 1950 in Hagerstown, Maryland. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Marie Springer.

Shirley dedicated her career to nursing, working as a Registered Nurse at Berkeley Medical Center before moving to the Martinsburg VA Medical Center, where she later retired. Her devotion to her profession was matched by her love for her family. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, cherishing the time spent with her family and her two Chihuahuas, Chloey and Coco, who brought joy to her life.

Shirley is survived by her husband of 50 years, Frank Howell; her children, Michael Howell and his wife Kim, and Dwayne Feigley and his wife Nina; and her grandchildren, Brandon Feigley, Erica Feigley, and Brent Howell. She is also survived by her brother, Bobby Springer, and his wife Alice. In addition to her parents Shirley was preceded in death by her child Jamie Howell, her brothers Edward Springer and Carroll Springer, and her sister Mary Ella Hawbaker.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Rosedale Funeral Home on April 24, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will take place at Rosedale on April 25, 2025, at 11:00 am, followed by her final resting place at Rosedale Cemetery.

Shirley's legacy of kindness and dedication will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
