Born on October 17, 1971 in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Robert F. Rosenberry of Roxbury, Pennsylvania and Donna Rosenberry of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.
Shawn graduated from Shippensburg University where he studied History and Education. Throughout the years, he lived in various parts of the country including Dayton, Maryland, Richmond, Texas, Burbank, California, Glendale, California, and Leesburg, Virginia before recently settling in to Martinsburg, West Virginia with his family. Shawn worked for City National Bank where he was highly valued by his co-workers. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh. Shawn appreciated good food and beverages and spent time with family and friends trying local establishments. During down-time, he found peace in being with nature and admiring beautiful sunsets.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Jennifer Kaplan of Martinsburg; son, Alexander Rosenberry of Martinsburg; brother, Robert D. Rosenberry and Dottie of Fulton, Maryland; uncle,
Carl Rosenberry; aunt, Betty Stouffer; brother-in-laws: Gary Kaplan of Rockville, Maryland and Edward “Ted” Boyke and Ashley of Burbank, California; sister-in-law, Sarah Boyke and James Applegate of Washington DC; nephews: Matthew Rosenberry and Rebecca of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Daniel Rosenberry of Baltimore, Maryland, Henry Boyke of Burbank, California and Smith Applegate of Washington DC; nieces: Caroline Rosenberry of Fulton, Maryland, Molly Boyke, of Burbank, California, Annie Boyke of Burbank, California, Charlotte Boyke of Burbank, California, and Iris Applegate of Washington DC; and his two cats, Sapphira and Kiernan.
Shawn was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Rosenberry; aunt, Marie Rosenberry; and uncle, Jess Rosenberry.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Rosedale Funeral Home.
