Born March 31, 1923, in Charles Town, WV, she was the daughter of the late John Lovell Cameron and Lula Ella Presgraves Cameron.
She graduated from Bunker Hill High School in 1943.
Sarah retired from the 3M Company in 1982, starting work there in 1961 as part of the plants original start up team, with many years of perfect attendance.
She was an active member of Paynes Chapel United Methodist Church. She volunteered with the Ridgeway Children’s Fund and the Asbury Methodist Village Auxiliary for many years.
She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy L. Grove and Rebecca L. Kane (Thomas) of Bunker Hill. Five grandchildren; Donald E. Grove (Elisa), Robert C. Grove (Jennifer), Michael L. Liskey (Tamar), Paula D. Liskey, and Shelley B. Liskey. Six great-grandchildren; Jenna, Blake, and Lydia Grove, Alexis Kinnison, Hillary Liskey, and Logan Herring. One great-great-grandson; Thomas Lee Ring.
Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Donald O. Sager, in 2014, having been married for 65 years. One brother, G. John “Jack” Cameron. One sister, Charlotte M. Huff. One son-in-law, John E. Grove.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Paynes Chapel UMC, 631 Avanti Drive, Bunker Hill, WV. Pastor Dawn Reidy will officiate.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will follow in Paynes Chapel Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Elmcroft Assisted Living and the staff at Hospice of the Panhandle for the care and support they provided.
