Roxie Louise Richardson

Roxie was born on December 17, 1950, in Colton WV, to the late Woodrow and Mary “Phillips” Keener.

Roxie surrounded herself with the things that made her happy, including camping with her family, painting, and sewing. She had a very creative mind, which she applied in all types of arts and crafts.

Roxie is survived by her beloved sister and best friend, Peggy Richardson. She will also be sadly missed by her husband of 53 years, James Richardson; their Children: James Richardson Jr., Barbara Esslinger and husband L.J, Thomas Richardson and wife Leanne, Andrew Richardson and wife Ashley. She was blessed with 6 grandchildren: Dylan Richardson, Gavin Esslinger, Courtney Clark, Kaylee Richardson, Alaina Richardson, Cora Richardson; and two great grandchildren: Valynn and Nevaeh McIntire. Roxie is also survived by two sister-in-laws: Barbara Holt and husband James, Deborah Perdue and husband John, and a brother-in-law, Emory Richardson Jr.

In addition to her parents, Roxie is preceded in death by her brother, Roger Keener.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 2:00pm with Chaplin Jolene officiating. A visitation will be held an hour prior, from 1:00pm-2:00pm. Interment will be held at Rosedale cemetery immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Panhandle at 330 Hospice Ln, Kearneysville, WV, 25430.
