Norman Keith Look, current resident of Hedgesville WV and longtime resident of Dale City VA passed away on 12 May 2022. Norm was born in Detroit Michigan on 17 March 1952 and grew up in East Tawas Michigan after attending East Tawas High School. Norm enlisted in the United States Air Force 21 August 1970 and honorably retired as a MSgt 1 September 1990. After Norm concluded his 20 year career of Honorable service, he performed such noteworthy duties as Traffic Management Superintendent. During his time in the Air Force, Norm spent 4 years and 3 months at Overseas locations Ching Chuan Kang Air Base Taiwan, and Chicksands United Kingdom. His continental United States service included Lockbourne AFB OH, Wurtsmith AFB MI, Lackland AFB, and Cameron Station VA.
Norm was an avid and talented semi-professional pool player and was mentored by such legends as Mike Sigel and Grady Matthews. He played in numerous pool tournaments throughout the East Coast and loved teaching his children the art of playing pool. Norm was equally passionate about Detroit Tigers baseball and Washington Redskins football. During his younger years he always found time to listen on the radio to the sounds of Ernie Harwell and he was a fan of such legends as Al Kaline, Alan Trammel, Lou Whitaker, Miguel Cabrera and Justin Verlander. Norm also enjoyed learning about U.S. history and spending time with his family and friends. Additionally, Norm was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and spent many holidays donating food to families in need for many years. He also passionately supported the Wounded Warrior Program to ensure those who served were treated with the honor and respect they deserve.
Norm is survived by his loving wife Kathryn Kay Look of 50 years as well as his children, Chad and Sam, their spouses Toni and Kristi, his grandchildren Chloe, Ty, Kaylin and Charli and his brother Reginald Look. He was proceeded in death by his parents Kenneth and Evelyn Look and his sister Sandra Look.
The Look family will celebrate a private family only service at Rosedale funeral home on 16 May 2022. The family requests all donations to be provided to the Wounded Warrior Program in his honor.
Graveside services will be held at 11am on 14 December 2023 at Arlington National Cemetery.
