Mary Davis

Born May 23, 1920 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late George M. and Margaret R. Crim Wilhelm.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

Mary loved her family and took a role in raising all of her grandchildren and shared her wisdom and loving kindness. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed holding large family Sunday gatherings where many family members including her nieces and nephews came to reminisce about farm life and share what was happening in their lives.

She will be sadly missed by her children: Mary R.V. May, Marshall R.F. Davis, Carolyn L. Davis, Charles B.D. Davis, and Melvinia L. Dunn; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George B.F. “Frank” Davis; and her half-brother, Elmer Crim.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 6-8pm at Rosedale Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be on Thursday at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
