Leslie Kaye Walker Peterson, 54 of Martinsburg passed away on November 25, 2020.
She was born on April 24, 1966 in Charles Town and is the daughter of Harry H. Walker and Regina Hudson.
Leslie graduated Hampton High School in 1984 and went on to University of Phoneix to earn a Bachelor’s of Science and Criminal Justice Administration in August 31, 2007, followed by earning a Master’s of Science Administration of Justice and Security on August 31, 2009. Leslie pursued several careers after her education. She was employed at the American Public University working in the finance department. She also was a Professor of Criminal Justice at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia, and a credit manager for Schewels Furniture in Winchester, Virginia.
She enjoyed antiquing, reading, putting her feet in rivers and wading, and adventures on county roads. Leslie was an avid movie critic.
Leslie is lovingly remembered by her husband of 22 years, Frank Peterson; sons: Eric Jordan Heininger and his husband Joseph of Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania, Edward Olen Peterson II of Johnstown Pennsylvania, Frank Lee Peterson II of Fort Polk, Louisiana, Steven Clarence Peterson of Newport News, Virginia; mother, Regina Hudson and husband Benjamin of Ranson WV; father, Harry Henry Walker and wife Cora of Yorktown, Virginia; brothers: Harry Henry Walker II of Charles Town, WV, and George Conrad Walker of Shepherdstown, WV; five grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held for Leslie at Rosedale Funeral Home on December 3, 2020 at 1:00 pm
