Born on September 26, 1973 in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of Ruth Carpenter and the late Leonard Carpenter Sr.
Lawrence was a High School graduate and became a plumber by trade, which he learned from his father. During his younger years he enjoyed free-style biking. He was an animal lover and especially loved his cats.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister, Lynn Kelbaugh of Hagerstown, Maryland; his brother, Leonard Carpenter Jr. and wife, Rose of Hedgesville; his wife, Tayra Carpenter; 4 nephews; and cats: Sandy, Little Man, and Mahi.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and many cats.
